Genoa are reportedly close to bringing in Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli from Empoli – and he could be joined by Ismael Bennacer and Francesco Caputo.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Andreazzoli has agreed terms with Genoa, who will not have to pay Empoli any compensation.
The Grifone must now reach a settlement with current boss Cesare Prandelli over the termination of his contract.
Despite the Tuscans’ relegation, the former Roma assistant won five of his 11 games back at the helm as the side were praised for their innovative approach.
Sky adds his move to Marassi could be followed by deals for two of his most trusted lieutenants in Bennacer and Caputo.
