Daniele Prade has left Udinese by mutual consent, amidst speculation the technical director could return to Fiorentina.
Udinese announced on Tuesday that the club and Prade had agreed to go their separate ways after just one season.
The former Roma sporting director had been tipped to re-join Sampdoria, but Sky Sport Italia reports the lure of a second stint with Fiorentina could be too good to resist.
The Viola have been taken over by Italo-American billionaire Rocco Commisso and are looking for a new technical director following the departure of Pantaleo Corvino.
The 52-year-old also worked with Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella between 2012 and 2015.
