Atalanta are among the clubs ready to take Lucas Silva from Real Madrid after his Cruzeiro loan spell expired, claim Brazilian reports.
The 26-year-old midfielder was purchased in January 2015 for €13m, but struggled to make an impact, going out on loan to Olympique Marseille and for two years back to his former club Cruzeiro.
According to Brazilian site UOL Esporte, there are several clubs interested in taking Lucas Silva off Real Madrid’s hands before his contract expires in June 2020.
Gremio want him to remain in Brazil, but Atalanta are mentioned following their Champions League qualification.
Others include Benfica, Espanyol, Sevilla, Club America and Tigres.
