Edin Dzeko had opened the scoring in Turin, but Lorenzo Insigne and Marco Verratti turned it around for a 2-1 victory, maintaining their perfect Euro 2020 qualifying start.

“We played great football and despite going behind, we didn’t lose our way, let our heads drop, we just kept plugging away and playing our football,” Bernardeschi told Rai Sport.

“Bosnia are a fine team and I thought our first half wasn’t that bad either, apart from our pressing at the wrong times, but we adjusted the distances and kept our shape better after the break.

“I don’t miss an Italy goal, I just try to play for the team and it’ll come eventually, I hope.”
