Fiorentina have reportedly offered club legend Gabriel Batistuta a position on their new-look board.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, new Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso has reached out to Batistuta over a return.
The Sky Sport Italia journalist stresses his role has yet to be defined but that it will become clearer over the next few days, with team manager Giancarlo Antognoni acting as a mediator.
The 50-year-old played for the Viola between 1991 and 2000, his haul of 203 goals in just 331 appearances earning him the nickname ‘Batigol’.
