Gabriel Batistuta “would be very flattered and happy” if he were offered a role in the new Fiorentina administration. “You know what they mean to me.”
There were reports that new patron Rocco Commisso was going to bring Batigol back to Florence after completing the takeover of the club from Andrea and Diego Della Valle.
“If Fiorentina really were to think of me, I’d be very flattered and very happy,” the club icon told Lady Radio.
“You know what Florence and the Viola jersey mean to me. Over the last few days, I saw extraordinary enthusiasm for the arrival of President Commisso. I think a wonderful new adventure is beginning for the Viola.”
Batistuta is currently working at Club Atletico Colon as director of sport, a role he has held since 2012.
The 50-year-old spent nine years at Fiorentina from 1991 to 2000, scoring 203 goals in 331 competitive games.
