It is now official that ex-Roma chief Daniele Pradè is the new director of sport at Fiorentina, replacing Pantaleo Corvino.

The club had been looking for a new transfer guru since declaring in February that Corvino’s contract would not be renewed after five years in Florence.

Rumours had gathered pace on Thursday and it is now official that Fiorentina have appointed Pradè as director of sport.

Pradè is a 45-year-old Roman who was part of the Scudetto-winning Roma outfit from 2000, also earning two Italian Super Cups and two Coppa Italia trophies.

He will hold a press conference at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Saturday morning with President Mario Cognini.

The Viola have their director of sport, but are still without a new Coach for next season.
