Sarri set for two-year Juve deal

Sky Sport Italia insist Maurizio Sarri will sign a two-year contract with Juventus, but Chelsea only receive £1.1m in compensation plus bonuses.

The all-clear was meant to have arrived yesterday, yet there is still no formal announcement from the two clubs or the tactician.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the details are being whittled down in a series of meetings in London and Milan today.

His lawyers met with Chelsea to work out what portion of his salary he’d give up in the termination of their contract by mutual consent.

Juve director Fabio Paratici then met with agent Fali Ramadani in Milan and they agreed a two-year contract with option for another year, rather than the original three-year deal.

There continue to be very large discrepancies between Italian and English sources on how much compensation Juve will actually pay to Chelsea for the Coach.

Sky Sport Italia insist it’s £1.1m plus performance-related bonuses, whereas various English papers point to anywhere between £5m and £10m.
