Juventus Coach Maurizio Sarri reportedly wants Inter striker Mauro Icardi and Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos for his new-look team.

According to Sportitalia’s transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, Bianconeri sporting director Fabio Paratici wants to give Sarri a new defender and the hot name is Brazilian Marquinhos.

However, the centre-back earns €10.2m a year with PSG and that could prove to be a stumbling block to any potential deal, while a Medhi Benatia return has been proposed, but seems unlikely.

The 25-year-old joined the French club from Roma in 2013 for €32m and has three years remaining on his contract, but could be on the market if PSG complete their €70m deal for Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.

The Old Lady are also reportedly close to sealing deals for Sassuolo’s Merih Demiral for €15m, and Genoa’s Argentine centre-back Cristian Romero, but could leave the youngster with the Grifone for another year.

Meanwhile, the 60-year-old tactician is convinced that Argentine striker Icardi would score at least 40 goals under his tutelage.

Maurito has been told that he doesn’t have a future at San Siro under new Coach Antonio Conte and is on the market, with Manchester United, PSG and even David Beckham’s Miami CF reportedly interested in the 26-year-old.
