Milan are reportedly €4m away from Napoli’s asking price for Mario Rui as fellow left-back Diego Laxalt confirms he wants to stay.
Milan have been in talks to sign Mario Rui, but Il Mattino warns there could be a spanner in the works.
That is because, as per the newspaper, Milan are only prepared to offer €9m for the Portuguese, whereas the Partenopei want €13m.
It comes after agent Ariel Krasouski expressed Laxalt’s desire to fight for his place at San Siro, despite his lack of game time last season.
“Diego wants to stay at Milan,” he told Milan News.
“He’s very happy in Milan and he wants to stay so he can fight for his place. Now we need to see what the ideas of Giampaolo and the club are, but if it was up to Diego he’d like to stay with the Rossoneri.”
