Reports in England claim Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku will not force a move to Inter this summer.

The Mirror and The Sun both write Lukaku wants to show ‘respect’ to United and their fans and is happy to bide his time.

That differs to the stance taken by teammate Paul Pogba, who has gone public with his desire to leave Old Trafford.

Inter have made the Belgian their No 1 choice to replace Mauro Icardi but are unwilling to meet the Red Devils’ €90m asking price.

The Telegraph, meanwhile, claims the Beneamata are prepared to offer Icardi in exchange to bring the fee down.

However, United would not be keen on taking the Argentine due to concerns over his character, given he went on a self-imposed exile last season.

Antonio Conte tried to sign Lukaku when he was Chelsea Coach, while Belgium CT Roberto Martinez recently advised his No 9 to change clubs.

Lukaku’s decision not to rush through a transfer could benefit Inter as it gives them more time to address the Icardi situation.
