Napoli are reportedly hoping to overshadow Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus unveiling with the announcement that they have signed James Rodriguez.

Juve are planning to present Sarri as their Coach on Thursday in the Gianni and Umberto Agnelli hall at their stadium, giving him the same treatment as Cristiano Ronaldo last summer.

However, La Repubblica claims Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to announce James’ arrival in conjunction.

Nonetheless, Gianluca Di Marzio assured last night that there was minimal distance between them and Real Madrid.

Sarri’s relationship has broken down the majority of Napoli’s fan base following his move to Juve.

De Laurentiis already took several shots at the 60-year-old after he left for Chelsea a year ago.
