Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi could reunite with Eusebio Di Francesco, as it’s reported Sampdoria are offering €12m plus Gianluca Caprari.
According to Italian news agency ANSA, Blucerchiati President Massimo Ferrero wants to give new Coach Di Francesco one of his favourite players.
The tactician and the Italy international spent almost five years working together with the Neroverdi, and the 24-year-old played his best football under the ex-Roma boss.
Di Francesco replaced Marco Giampaolo, who left to take up the Milan job, and favours a 4-3-3 formation that Berardi shines in.
Meanwhile, Caprari could follow Giampaolo out the door, with Sassuolo keen admirers of the 25-year-old.
The former Giallorossi youth team product scored six times in 21 Serie A matches this season, while also providing two assists.
If Caprari is valued at €18m, then the total offer will be worth in the region of €30m.
