Marco Fassone has reportedly walked away from Milan with €4m – less than half he was hoping for.

Fassone officially ended his legal action against Milan over the weekend, and Il Sole 24 Ore claims he reached a settlement worth €4m.

Although less than the €30m that was being bandied about, the newspaper notes the CEO was requesting €10m.

The 55-year-old was brought in along with sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli during the Li Yonghong era, which culminated in the Chinese owner defaulting on loan payments.

The club was then effectively repossessed by US hedge fund Elliott Management, who sacked Mirabelli and Fassone.

That led to the ex-Juventus, Inter and Napoli official suing the Rossoneri on the grounds of unfair dismissal.

However, the Diavolo responded with a dossier outlining the errors that he made during his tenure as chief executive.
