Sampdoria have officially signed Boca Juniors and Argentina Under-20 midfielder Gonzalo Maroni on loan with an option to buy.
A statement on Samp’s official website confirms Maroni has joined on a season-long loan with a right of purchase, reportedly set at €15m.
He passed a medical two weeks ago and has committed to a five-year contract with the Blucerchiati.
The 20-year-old is an attacking midfielder, who can also play on either wing, and recently represented Argentina at the U-20 World Cup.
