Aurelio De Laurentiis has suggested that Lorenzo Insigne and Allan can leave Napoli for the right price, as long as they have time to replace them.

Napoli are on the verge of signing Roma defender Kostas Manolas in part exchange for Amadou Diawara, and De Laurentiis is excited about the ‘great partnership’ he will form with Kalidou Koulibaly.

“All great teams start from a great defence. Manolas and Koulibaly could form a great partnership, like we’ve had in the past,” he told Sport Mediaset.

Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez has also been heavily linked with a move to the San Paolo this summer, and the Partenopei President shared his thoughts on the Colombian.

“No-one’s ever said that James isn’t right for us. On the contrary, there’s a deep respect between him and Carlo Ancelotti.

“However, there are agents to deal with, then there are his family and Real Madrid, so we’ll have to see if he comes.

“We have so many ongoing negotiations; we need to focus on selling first. We have 40 players and so many need addressing.”

On the other hand, he seemed open to selling Insigne and Allan, despite the club recently tweeting that they were not for sale.

“If offers for them come in time for us to be able to find replacements then we can take them into consideration, but if they arrive in the last 10 days of the window then they won’t be.”
