The 23-year-old had recently been the subject of interest from Real Madrid, but Napoli made it clear they would not entertain a sale.

Fabian joined the Partenopei from Real Betis last summer for €30m and played 40 times during the 2018-19 campaign, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.
