Roma and Juventus are negotiating a deal that would see Luca Pellegrini and Leonardo Spinazzola swap clubs.

Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and Gazzetta dello Sport all report both clubs are in talks over the exchange.

La Gazzetta specifically claims Juve had a €10m offer for Pellegrini rejected on Thursday, but they are now prepared to sacrifice Spinazzola for the Italy Under-21 international.

As for Roma, it would represent a significant capital gain ahead of Sunday’s deadline.

Spinazzola returned to the Bianconeri last summer after two seasons on loan at Atalanta but made just 12 appearances in 2018-19.

Pellegrini, meanwhile, spent the second half of the previous campaign at Cagliari and had been expected to become the Giallorossi’s first-choice left-back.

The position has become a priority for the Lupi to reinforce as Aleksandar Kolarov seems set for Fenerbahce or a return to Serbia with Red Star Belgrade.
