Multiple sources claim Sassuolo have agreed a deal for Empoli striker Francesco Caputo for €7.5m plus two other players.

The only issue that remains is to identify the players who will form part of the deal.

Sky Sport Italia and SportItalia both agree that Filippo Bandinelli will go to Empoli, as the 24-year-old midfielder spent this season on loan with Benevento.

He scored six goals and provided four assists in 35 games between Serie B, the promotion play-offs and Coppa Italia.

The other name on the list is a little less certain, as Sky point to 23-year-old striker Ettore Gliozzi, currently on loan at Siena.

SportItalia believe that Empoli are asking for Davide Frattesi, but also acknowledge Sassuolo won’t be prepared to part with the Under-20 World Cup talent.

It is an expensive deal for Caputo, who turns 32 in August, but he almost managed to keep Empoli in Serie A with 16 goals in 38 games.
