Udinese midfielder Valon Behrami is on the verge of signing for Swiss club FC Sion on a two-year deal after contract renewal talks stalled.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the midfielder failed to reach an agreement with Le Zebrette for a contract renewal and has decided to join the Swiss Super League side, who offered him a two-year deal with the possibility of taking over as Coach in the future.
The 34-year-old spent the past two seasons in Udine after he joined from Watford for €2m in 2017, making 39 appearances during his stay at the Dacia Arena.
Behrami spent most of his career in Serie A, representing the likes of Genoa, Hellas Verona, Fiorentina, Lazio, and Napoli, while he lifted the Coppa Italia with the Azzurri in the 2013-2014 season.
