The fire sale at beleaguered Serie B side Palermo looks to have already started, with six players reportedly close to moves away.
Palermo finally presented their financial guarantees to Lega Serie B and the local council on Sunday, but they could be rejected as they came in six days late.
That, coupled with outstanding wages and still no sign of a fine being paid for financial irregularities, leaves the Rosanero faced with the serious threat of restarting in Serie D.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the exodus begins with Lecce pressing to sign forward Simone Lo Faso and Empoli closing in on goalkeeper Alberto Brignoli and target man Stefano Moreo.
The website adds Bologna are weighing up a swoop for left-back Haitam Aleesami, while midfielder Luca Fiordaliso interests several Serie B sides.
However, the biggest deal concerns top goalscorer and captain Ilija Nestorovski, who is set for Udinese.
Nestorovski [pictured] has scored 39 goals in three seasons for Palermo, including 15 last term.
TMW and Sportitalia both report Udinese have won the race for the Macedonian, the Zebrette fighting off competition from Serie A rivals Bologna and Torino.
