The fire sale at beleaguered Serie B side Palermo looks to have already started, with six players reportedly close to moves away.

Palermo finally presented their financial guarantees to Lega Serie B and the local council on Sunday, but they could be rejected as they came in six days late.

That, coupled with outstanding wages and still no sign of a fine being paid for financial irregularities, leaves the Rosanero faced with the serious threat of restarting in Serie D.
