Former Italy international Alessio Cerci could reunite with his Torino boss Giampiero Ventura at Serie B side Salernitana.
According to Il Mattino, Salernitana are ‘serious’ about bringing in Cerci, despite his wage demands.
The 32-year-old has experienced a dramatic fall from grace since leaving the Granata in 2014.
He spent last season at Turkish side Ankaragucu but made just three League starts and was dropped for the second half of the campaign.
Nonetheless, the attacker’s best years came under Ventura at Toro, where he scored 21 goals and provided 23 assists in two seasons.
The former Italy CT, meanwhile, is preparing to relaunch himself at the age of 71, despite his stock on the peninsula remaining at its lowest ebb.
