Milan meet again for Veretout

Milan are in talks with Fiorentina officials over a potential deal for midfielder Jordan Veretout.

Sky Sport Italia reported late last night that Roma had already offered Veretout a €3m salary after it emerged Nicolo Barella was holding out for Inter.

However, the broadcaster claims that did not stop Milan from meeting Fiorentina directors Joe Barone and Daniele Prade the following afternoon.

Although the Rossoneri are interested in the Frenchman, it is warned they are only prepared to sign him on ‘certain conditions’.

Nonetheless, Tuesday’s summit signals the first time a club have formally met for the 26-year-old’s signature, with the Diavolo only meeting his agent previously.

Milan are in need of midfield reinforcements after sending Tiemoue Bakayoko back to Chelsea and releasing trio Jose Mauri, Riccardo Montolivo and Andrea Bertolacci.
