Inter have finally completed the signing of midfielder Stefano Sensi from Sassuolo.
A statement on Sassuolo’s official website confirms Sensi has joined Inter on loan with an option to buy next summer.
“I’m happy to be an Inter player,” he told reporters outside the Nerazzurri’s offices.
“I’m happy with the choice I’ve made. I’m expecting a great season.”
Reports claim the Beneamata have paid €5m to take the 23-year-old on loan and reserved a €20-22m purchase option for 2020.
The deep-lying playmaker began his career in the lower Leagues with Cesena and San Marino before moving to the Neroverdi in 2016.
He finally broke through at the top level last season, scoring two goals and providing four assists in 28 Serie A appearances.
His performances also earned him his first two Italy caps.
Although not yet official, Sassuolo should receive Italy Under-20 left-back Marco Sala – valued at €5m – in part exchange.
