Bologna have won the race to sign Excelsior Rotterdam midfielder Jerdy Schouten for €2.5m, despite Genoa and Atalanta interest.
According to Der Telegraaf, the Rossoblu have successfully convinced both the club and player to join them.
Atalanta, but in particular Genoa, had approached Schouten and proposed impressive personal terms.
However, he was convinced by Bologna’s plans and was reassured he’d get regular playing time at the Stadio Dall’Ara.
