Milan have reportedly made a surprise bid in the region of €20m for Bologna left-back Mitchell Dijks.
According to De Telegraaf, the offer has prompted Dijks’ agent Dick van Burik to meet Bologna for talks about his future.
The 26-year-old only joined the Rossoblu from Ajax last summer and caught the eye during their great escape from relegation in 2018-19.
He is one of Serie A’s taller outfield players, standing at 1.94m (6’4”).
However, it remains to be seen whether the Dutchman was only a stop-gap in the event Milan’s deal for Theo Hernandez fell through.
As Goal.com understands it, he could arrive to form a new-look left flank with Theo, allowing Diego Laxalt, Ricardo Rodriguez and Ivan Strinic to all move on.
