Paolo Nicolato has been named the new CT of Italy’s Under-21 team following his good work with the U19 and U20 sides.
Nicolato replaces Luigi Di Biagio, who resigned after the Azzurrini crashed out of the European Under-21 Championship at the group stage.
The 52-year-old is a renowned Coach at youth level, winning the Primavera championship with Chievo in 2014.
He then guided Italy’s U19 team to a runners-up finish at the European Championship last year and the U20s to the semi-finals of the World Cup last month.
