Milan are finalising Rade Krunic’s transfer from Empoli today and have reportedly used the opportunity to check out Ismael Bennacer.
Krunic’s move has been in the pipelines for some time, but Gianluca Di Marzio and Milan News write the Rossoneri met Empoli sporting director Piero Accardi on Thursday iron out the remaining details of the deal.
The sources add Bennacer also came up for discussion, the midfielder having starred for Algeria in the Africa Cup of Nations group stage.
However, his future is not likely to be decided until after he returns from the competition.
Arsenal have a buyback option for the 21-year-old, who has also been linked with Fiorentina, Genoa and Olympique Lyonnais, but they do not seem intent on using it.
