Roma have reportedly struck a deal with Real Betis for goalkeeper Pau Lopez, worth €20m plus 50 per cent of Antonio Sanabria’s future fee.
According to Calciomercato.com, the two clubs have reached an agreement this evening.
Pau Lopez will come to the Stadio Olimpico for €20m in cash plus half of the fee when forward Sanabria is sold on.
That is believed to take the total cost of the operation to around €25m.
Sanabria joined Genoa on loan in January 2019 to the summer of 2020, with obligation to buy for €14m once he scores his ninth goal.
A former Roma player, Betis owe the Giallorossi 50 per cent of Sanabria’s selling-on fee, but that would be waived as part of the Pau Lopez deal.
As for Pau Lopez, the 24-year-old has already worked out the personal terms, a four-year contract worth €2m per season.
