Genoa are reportedly close to selling striker Gianluca Lapadula to Lecce, while making enquiries for Torino’s Simone Zaza.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Lecce sporting director Mauro Meluso will finalise a deal for Lapadula on Friday.

The newspaper explains the Serie A new boys will sign the ex-Milan hitman on loan with a possible obligation to buy if they stay up.

Despite forking out €11m to turn his loan deal permanent last summer, the 29-year-old was dropped for much of the previous campaign, playing just nine times.

As for his replacement, Tuttomercatoweb claims the Rossoblu have approached Torino over Zaza’a availability.

The Granata recently made his stay a permanent one for €12m, although he managed just four goals last term as Walter Mazzarri preferred Andrea Belotti as his No 9.

In turn, Toro would be interested in Genoa forward Christian Kouame, opening the door to a potential swap.
