Stephan El Shaarawy will fly out to China for his Shanghai Shenhua medical tomorrow, claim Sky Sport Italia, as Roma accept the €18m deal.
There were reports today that the move was close, but transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio now states it’ll be completed within 24 hours.
The Little Pharaoh will fly out to China on Sunday for his medical and to sign the three-year contract.
He’ll earn €15-16m per year, while Roma pick up €18m including performance-related bonuses and add-ons.
The 26-year-old was purchased from Milan for a total €14.4m in January 2016, after his loan spell at Monaco.
It was a strong season for El Shaarawy, who scored 11 Serie A goals in 28 appearances.
However, his contract was due to expire in June 2020 and Roma had no intention of renewing it, so had to sell now in order to make a profit.
