Roma are on the verge of a €25m deal for Atalanta centre-back Gianluca Mancini, claim reports, a figure that includes bonuses.
The defender has long been on their radar and became first choice as a replacement for Kostas Manolas, who moved to Napoli this month.
According to Calciomercato.com, the two clubs have practically agreed terms for €21m plus another €4m in performance-related bonuses.
The 23-year-old scored an impressive six goals in 35 competitive games last season and already has two senior Italy caps.
Mancini is expected to arrive for a medical by the end of the week, but it’ll be similar to the move that saw Bryan Cristante go from Atalanta to Roma, a loan with obligation to buy.
