Genoa have officially signed Monaco left-back Antonio Barreca on loan with an option to buy.
The deal was announced in a statement on Monaco’s website.
Barreca broke through for Torino during the 2016-17 campaign after spells in Serie B with Cittadella and Cagliari.
The 24-year-old is also a former Italy Under-21 international, with 13 caps for the Azzurrini.
However, an injury-hit 17-18 season was followed by just 10 appearances for Monaco and Newcastle United last term.
He becomes Genoa’s sixth summer signing after Pawel Jaroszynski, Nicholas Rizzo, Cristian Zapata, Sinan Gumus and Andrea Pinamonti.
