Torino have been given the all-clear to play the first leg of their opening Europa League qualifier at the home of Serie C side Alessandria.
La Stampa and Tuttosport both report Alessandria’s Stadio Moccagatta is currently best placed to host Debrecen or Kukesi on July 25.
However, they warn only 4,000 fans can be seated as the Curva Nord will be closed due to a lack of seats, as well as most of the Curva Sud, although the rest of the stadium meets UEFA’s criteria.
The Granata were recently promoted to the Europa League, replacing Milan who opted out in exchange for more time to satisfy Financial Fair Play.
They cannot play their first match in Europe at the Olimpico Grande Torino as the venue is hosting a concert on the same day.
As for alternative venues, Novara’s Silvio Piola has been discarded due to its synthetic turf, although Udinese’s Friulii remains a possibility.
