Inter winger Matteo Politano is the first casualty of the Antonio Conte era after suffering a thigh injury.
Inter only began preseason training on Monday, but they have already lost a player to Conte’s gruelling programme.
The Nerazzurri tweeted Politano had picked up a ‘flexor strain’ in his right thigh and would be evaluated ‘on a day-to-day basis’.
He is now expected to miss their opening preseason friendly against Lugano on Sunday.
The 25-year-old recently completed a permanent move to the Beneamata from Sassuolo after a successful loan spell last season.
