Sassuolo have denied that a blatant synergy exists between them and Juventus, accusing the Press of spin.
Sassuolo have done plenty of business with Juve since their promotion to Serie A in 2014, and it was speculated there was already an agreement in place for Merih Demiral to join the Old Lady in January.
The same appears to be the case with Hamed Traore, but sporting director Giovanni Rossi was quick to stress how little had been made of his club’s dealings with Inter and Roma.
“A mechanism has been created, whereby it’s thought that Juventus are behind every Sassuolo signing,” he said at the unveiling of Traore and fellow new boy Francesco Caputo.
“We have a good relationship, but we do with all the clubs. We’ll never be able to stop the rumours.
“However, the fact our last two big sales have been to Inter and that we’ve signed many young players from Roma have been underlined less.
“The important thing is that the Sassuolo have players who are good and strong. I repeat, when Juventus are involved, things get underlined and others less so.”
