West Ham United offered €60m for Italy international striker Andrea Belotti, it’s reported, but Torino have a €100m release clause.
According to Tuttosport, the Hammers made a huge €60m (approximately £54m) bid for the 25-year-old centre-forward.
Toro turned it down, as ‘Il Gallo’ is not for sale and has a €100m release clause in his contract, valid only for clubs outside of Italy.
The Granata are especially eager to keep hold of their star, as they’re gearing up for the Europa League preliminary rounds later this month.
West Ham are desperately seeking a new striker to replace Marko Arnautovic, but have been rejected at every turn.
Targets included Gonzalo Higuain of Juventus, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Sebastien Haller, Maxi Gomez, Callum Wilson and more.
