Gervinho wage increase stalls Galatasaray

Parma are trying to keep Gervinho with the offer of an improved salary, even if it’s still not as much as Galatasaray are proposing.

The 32-year-old Ivorian striker rediscovered his form at the Stadio Tardini and scored 11 goals with three assists in Serie A last season.

This attracted interest from several clubs, although Galatasaray seem to be the most determined.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Parma are demanding €15m to release Gervinho, but are also trying to convince him to stay with an improved wage deal.

He is currently on €1.3m per year and it would climb to €1.7m until June 2022, but that is still below the reported €2.5m deal offered in Turkey.
