Marco Giampaolo’s Milan are starting to take shape with Suso in the trequartista role behind Krzysztof Piatek and Andre Silva.
The former Sampdoria and Empoli tactician has traditionally used a 4-3-1-2 formation and seems to be heading in that direction at San Siro too.
In today’s training session, the Rossoneri tested out Suso in the ‘hole’ behind strikers Piatek and Andre Silva, the latter returning from his loan spell at Sevilla.
Hakan Calhanoglu moved into a deeper role in midfield, while Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti are both working their way back to fitness at right-back.
Alessio Romagnoli and Mateo Musacchio were the centre-back partners.
