Juve strike Konami deal

Juventus have struck a deal with Konami over exclusivity rights in time for the release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2020.

The deal means a fully-licensed version of Juve will be playable on only PES titles for the duration of Konami’s agreement with the club.

“We are incredibly honoured & excited to announce our EXCLUSIVE partnership with the most successful club in Italy; Juventus,” announced the Japanese game giant on Twitter.

“It brings 3D Player Scans, authentic kits & their home, iconic Allianz Stadium, accurately represented in game!”

Konami already have such an partnership in place with Spanish champions Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo was the cover star for FIFA 18 and 19 but was replaced midway through the run of 19 after he was dragged into a sexual-assault case last year.

As for the Bianconeri’s new name in FIFA 20...

Piemonte refers to the region where Turin lies, although the game will also not feature the Old Lady’s official badge or jerseys.
