After considering Liverpool’s €20m demand for Dejan Lovren excessive, it’s reported Milan are turning to Manchester United defender Eric Bailly.
The Rossoneri are seeking an experienced centre-back to partner Alessio Romagnoli for this season under new Coach Marco Giampaolo.
They have not disguised their interest in Lovren, but Liverpool want at least €20m, while the 30-year-old also commands a current salary of €5m per year net.
According to Tuttosport newspaper, Milan are looking at alternatives in the Premier League, such as 25-year-old Manchester United figure Bailly.
He was a huge €38m purchase from Villarreal in 2016, but never quite lived up to expectations.
As his contract is due to expire in June 2020, the Ivory Coast international could be available in a cut-price deal.
