Marko Rog is on the verge of a Cagliari transfer, on loan with obligation to buy for a total €15m, so Eljif Elmas can have his Napoli medical on Saturday.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Sardinians have agreed basic terms with Napoli for Rog, who had also been targeted by Genoa and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Croatia international is set to move on loan for €2m and an obligation to buy for a further €13m in June 2020.
Once that move is completed, Napoli can then reinvest by purchasing Macedonian midfielder Elmas from Fenerbahce.
Sportitalia report that a medical has already been organised for Elmas on Saturday.
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis was asked on Radio Kiss Kiss if this week we’d see Rog leave and Elmas arrive.
“That is true!”
The cost of the Elmas operation is believed to be €16m plus bonuses.
