Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo is reportedly warming to the idea of joining Tottenham Hotspur in part exchange for Toby Alderweireld.
Tottenham appear to have made Zaniolo their top midfield target after cooling on Dani Ceballos and Giovani Lo Celso.
Now, according to Sportitalia’s Alfredo Pedulla, the 20-year-old has taken ‘a strong liking’ to Spurs, although he will not demand a transfer ‘out of gratitude’ for Roma after they gave him his breakthrough last season.
Pedulla goes on to explain that Giallorossi consultant Franco Baldini is still working on a deal that would see the starlet move to Spurs and his club receive Alderweireld and €27m.
Juventus do not seem to be prioritising Zaniolo as they are busy tying up Matthijs de Ligt’s transfer and could pounce next for Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa.
