Napoli are pushing to sign Nicolas Pepe and have opened talks with the player, but face competition from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Partenopei are looking to strengthen their attack this summer, and a move for James Rodriguez has stalled as Real Madrid won’t let the Colombian leave on loan.
Sporting director Cristian Giuntoli has a number of names in the frame, including Hirving Lozano and Pepe.
According to this morning’s Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are pushing hard to sign the Lille man, and have made contact with the Ivorian.
Negotiating with his club will prove more difficult though, with Les Dogues demanding €60m plus Adam Ounas to sell.
Napoli are said to be the furthest down the path to signing Pepe, but they face competition from a number of big clubs.
Manchester United have been linked for some time, but Corriere dello Sport reports that Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Arsenal and Lyon are also keen.
