Roberto Inglese has returned to Parma and has no regrets over his Napoli transfer. “I’d prefer to be happy than play for a bigger club.”
The centre-forward was purchased by Napoli for €12m in 2017, but never played for the Partenopei, going through loan spells at Chievo and Parma.
He has now secured a permanent return to the Stadio Tardini for €20m.
“I created a special bond with Coach Roberto D’Aversa. We come from the same area, we’re practically neighbours, so there is a good feeling between us,” Inglese told Sky Sport Italia.
“I immediately settled in, I feel his tactics are perfectly suited to my characteristics. I preferred to come back to Parma, my second family, because I’d rather be happy than play for a bigger club.
“Parma wanted me at all costs and I am truly happy to have returned.”
