Napoli could miss out on James Rodriguez and Nabil Fekir if the latest reports are to be believed.
James has long been Napoli’s No 1 target in the summer transfer window, but their inability to close a deal with Real Madrid has let in Atletico.
Consequently, Habla Deportes and Radio Caracol journalist Juan Salvador Barcera has tweeted that the 28-year-old will become an Atleti player.
That was quickly followed up by CalcioNapoli24, which explained Diego Simeone’s side had agreed a fee of €40m plus bonuses for the midfielder ahead of a medical and his signature on a five-year contract next week.
As for Fekir, who only emerged as an alternative to the Colombian this morning, RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi is claiming the Frenchman has asked Olympique Lyonnais to find an agreement with Real Betis.
Italian sources have yet to confirm the veracity of both reports, although collective Offside Squad and Partenopei correspondent Carlo Alvino maintain James is still San Paolo-bound.
