Ismael Bennacer has all-but-completed his transfer to Milan but is not expected to start work with his new club until August 10.
Bennacer has spent the day at Milan’s offices finishing his medical and signing his contract after agreeing to a €16m move from Empoli.
However, Radio Rossonera reports the midfielder will be given an extended break by the Diavolo after recently helping Algeria win the Africa Cup of Nations.
“I’m very happy, Forza Milan,” said the 21-year-old to Sky Sport Italia micropones.
In the meantime, he will jet off to the French city of Arles, where he was born and began his playing career.
