Lille have put a price-tag of around €80m on the Ivory Coast international and Sportitalia suggest they’d favour a move to Napoli rather than Arsenal, Liverpool or Manchester United because Adam Ounas would be included in the deal.

However, Sky Sport Italia note that today’s three-hour meeting failed to reach a breakthrough, because Pepe’s personal demands are considered far too high for Napoli.

There will be more encounters and Lille are giving Napoli the priority, but President Aurelio De Laurentiis will not match the kind of wages offered by Premier League sides.
