Napoli are diving back into negotiations for Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano after PSV Eindhoven crashed out of the Champions League.
The Dutch side fell to pieces during a 2-1 defeat to FC Basel this evening, going out on away goals, 4-4 on aggregate.
It’s only the second qualifying round of the Champions League and a huge blow for PSV, who are now more likely to sell their Mexican star player.
There were already rumours this morning that Napoli were going to resume talks for Lozano, who would be available now for around €40m.
The Partenopei missed out on Nicolas Pepe, who moved to Arsenal today from Lille, and Real Madrid are unwilling to let James Rodriguez leave on loan.
Winger Lozano was the first name on the wish-list at the start of the summer, but fell down the pecking order as time wore on.
