The striker has only just started pre-season training after an extended break due to Copa America duty with Argentina.
“I am very happy to be back and made the most of the time off to rest. Now I’m here and ready to face the season in the best possible way,” Lautaro told Inter TV.

“The Copa America was a wonderful experience. I did well on a personal level, but now I am focused only on Inter and giving my all. I hope we’ll be able to achieve important targets.”
Martinez can now begin training with new Coach Conte and has already heard about that hard-working reputation.
“It’s very important, because to reach big objectives, you need to train hard, and we are ready to give our best. I had the chance to speak to Conte today, but we had already talked on the phone four or five times. He is a Coach who focuses a great deal on hard work.
“I’m really eager to get back out there. We’re forming a strong squad.”
